This year is the most challenging year for all of us, but we are certainly ready to face this challenge. Bali Island has a relatively small population. Over the past decade the tourism industry has become an important part of the development of the Island, but these developments have not spoilt the natural beauty or the historic and spiritual sights on the Island. Yes many of the area have been enhanced with tourist attraction spot and while the other part of the areas are remain preserves a great deal of nature, giving visitors a chance to experience a unique feeling that Bali have much things to offers.

Our chef is skilled in the preparation of both Western and Asian cuisine and you will have the opportunity to taste many Indonesian dishes. If you particularly enjoy the Balinese specialities and if you fancy trying your hand at cooking some of these dishes, you may like to participate in a Balinese cooking Class, which is one of the many activities that you can sample during your holiday at Villa M Bali.

Cooking schools in Bali offer a captivating insight into Balinese culture and life, exploring the culinary secrets, traditions and rituals associated with Balinese cuisine, together with the flavors and ingredients of everyday dishes, the healing benefits of local herbs, and the importance and religious significance of ceremonial food. Unravelling the exotic mysteries of Balinese cuisine, you will discover how to blend the pungent and colorful spices that are the soul of Balinese cooking, and you will be advised of suitable substitutes for ingredients that may not be available in your own country. In some classes you will have the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, atmosphere and aromas of a busy, traditional Balinese market, before actively helping to prepare and cook a Balinese feast and of course, enjoying the fruits of your labour.

M, The Bali Villa Rental

There is a wide variety of holiday accommodation in Bali, ranging from backpacker hotels to luxury rental villas, such as Bali Villa M, but it is only in recent years that these private serviced villas has become available.

It all began with the hippies of the 1970s, who recognised the business and investment potential of the Island; they leased land and built houses and many are still living their dreams today. By the mid 1980s, Bali embracing tourism with the influx of thousands of package tourists yearning for sunny holidays at rock-bottom prices; and with tourism came a flood of development, initially in the form of Kuta’s cheap and cheerful beach bungalows and budget hotels.

In the late 1990s, property development and investment began to take a new direction. The Island moved up-market, with chic new restaurants, lavish spas and classy boutiques, while at the same time gaining prestigious international awards for the world class architecture of its magnificent hotels and exclusive villa hideaways.

At Villa M Bali, which is one of Bali’s best rental villas, we pride ourselves on providing our guests with the best and most comfortable of furnishings, fittings and facilities. Our bathrooms feature polished concrete floors, and are fitted with top quality Kohler sanitary ware, each with a large terrazzo bathtub, twin washbasins, and an award winning ‘Rain Forest’ shower in which the water falls in delicate raindrops from tiny openings above. This luxury shower presents the ultimate energising experience.

Some of our furniture, is crafted from the indigenous water hyacinth. This natural fibre and renewable resource is taken from the dried stems of an ubiquitous aquatic plant, using a traditional hand woven technique to create comfortable sofas and chairs, which are not only strong but also pieces of great beauty and character.

Bedrooms features the best quality bengkirai wood floors, and wide beds with yielding mattresses and pillows. The high quality bed linen is complemented by bed runners and cushions, fashioned in rich fabrics. Each bedroom is equipped with a wall mounted satellite TV, complemented by a DVD player.

Villa M not only serves as a Bali Villas rental but also Bali Wedding venue and Bali honeymoon Villa. There is accommodation for eight wedding guests at the four bedrooms villa, which is quite separate from the honeymoon villa. Each villa has a private entrance and private swimming pool.

Flowers in Bali

In Bali, flowers are a blessing of the Gods. Symbolising purity and sincerity, the Balinese people use them for their prayers and daily offerings. Among them, the lotus is particularly sacred, its eight petals are in the image of the universe, and it is believed to be the dwelling of the great God, Hyang Widhi.

The striking red flowers of the hibiscus, meanwhile, represent the courage of warriors, and the Balinese would go off to battle with these big bright flowers behind their ears. Today in Bali, you can see dancers dressed as warriors, with sabres on their backs, holding these flowers and simulating a battle.

The ‘dadap merah’ or ‘cockscomb coral’- so called because its rich velvet-ruby flowerheads resemble the comb of a rooster- also plays a part in Hindu rituals, including wedding ceremonies.

Finally, the sweet scented waxy blossoms of the frangipani are used in every form of decoration, including the spectacular head dresses of the Balinese legong dancers. Often planted near Hindu temples, the frangipani is a symbol of immortality because the tree will continue to blossom even after it has been uprooted.
