Hotel occupancy up to 50 percent

Many peoples predict that global crisis will impact Hotel industry in Bali and also will make many hoteliers will lost their jobs, but until now it doesn’t affect hotel industry.

Caretaker of Indonesia Hotel and restaurant organization (PHRI) Bali, Nyoman Suwidnyana said, until now occupancy of hotels in Bali still normal. The normal grade of hotels occupancy where hotels industry still run their business is 50 percent.

This grade is much better than what PHRI predicted before, said Mr. Suwidnyana. He also said that
until now, PHRI doesn’t receive report that any jobs discontinuance in Hotel industry.  Domestic market also been another target beside the external market, where PHRI take special attention for this market. PHRI prompted hotels industry to attend domestic market as this market could be alternative on global crisis.
